I am in the process of replacing the bed in my teen daughter's room that is
off to college. Her bedroom is large and colorful but not very practical
anymore. I would like to make the room into a craft project room as the windows
have a lovely view. I will move daughter's "bedroom" to downstairs as
an updated guest room. I donated all the chartreuse green linens, wild murals
and toys she left and no longer wants. By combining white linens with feminine
touches, I transformed her leftover furnishings to accommodate guests. When she
comes home for holidays the downstairs will be her new room.
I looked at Murphy Beds online but most are dark wood frames and two to
three thousand dollars. I do not want to throw away the mattress in her old
room as it is only three years old. , On holidays I may need the extra sleeping
room. Wondering what other lower cost options might be available to combine a
craft room with a hide- the - mattress?
